Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
The rules for ordering from Loomwork, written to be read. Last updated [DATE].
This page is a template written for a small Roblox studio. Text in [brackets] must be filled in, and the whole page should be checked by a lawyer in your country before you rely on it. It is not legal advice.
Terms of Service
By sending us a brief, accepting a quote, paying a deposit or otherwise ordering from us, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not order.
1. Who we are
Loomwork ("we", "us") is [LEGAL NAME OR TRADING NAME, REGISTRATION OR TAX NUMBER, AND ADDRESS]. We make scripts, builds, animations, GFX, UI, VFX and video for Roblox games. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Roblox Corporation. Roblox is a trademark of Roblox Corporation, and other names on this site belong to their owners.
2. Who can order
You must be at least 13 years old, which is also Roblox's minimum age. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian to agree to these terms and to the purchase, and we may ask for proof. You must have the right to spend the Robux you pay us and to take decisions about the game, group or account the work is for.
3. Quotes and scope
- The maximum budget for a single order is 100,000,000 Robux. The budgets on this site are recommended minimums for each level, not fixed prices.
- Every order is confirmed by a written quote on Discord that states the scope, the deliverables, the level (Amateur, Professional or Expert), the price in Robux and the expected date. The quote is the contract for that order.
- A quote is valid for [7] days. We may decline an order, or change the price, if the brief is unclear or changes.
- Anything not in the quote is out of scope. New features or a different direction are a new request and may be priced separately.
- The three levels do the same kind of work. They differ in the quality, polish and experience of the person assigned, in revisions, and in price.
4. Payment
- We currently accept Robux only. USD and crypto are not available yet. Pay only in the way stated in your quote, and never to someone who is not named in it.
- We take 50% upfront as a deposit and the rest on delivery. Work starts and your place in the queue is reserved when the deposit has arrived.
- Robux payments go through Roblox's systems. Roblox's fees and rules apply and may reduce what we receive. The price in the quote is the amount we need to receive, so please account for fees when you send it.
- Final files are released after the full price has been paid. Late or reversed payments let us pause the work and keep the deliverables until the order is settled.
- Taxes: prices are in Robux and do not include any tax or duty you may owe in your country, unless the quote says otherwise.
5. Rush delivery and source files
Rush delivery moves your order up the queue and aims to deliver in about half the usual time. It needs about 30% more budget and depends on availability, so we confirm it in your quote. Source files (working files, project files and editable layers) need about 15% more budget. Source files are only included if they are in your quote.
6. Timelines
Dates are good-faith estimates, not guaranteed delivery times. They depend on you giving a clear brief, feedback and any access or assets we need, in good time. If you are late, the date moves by the same amount. If we expect to miss a date, we will tell you early and agree a new one.
7. Revisions
Amateur includes 2 revision rounds, Professional includes 3, and Expert is unlimited within the original scope. Extra rounds at the lower levels are billed at 10% of your budget. A revision changes work we already made to match the agreed brief. Changing the brief itself is new scope (see section 3).
8. Cancellations and refunds
- Before work starts: you can cancel and we refund the deposit.
- After work starts: you can cancel at any time. We keep the part of the price that covers work already done, and refund the rest of what you paid, in Robux, if any is left.
- If you are not happy: tell us what is off and we will revise it. If we cannot get there, we refund the part of the work that was not delivered.
- If we cancel (for example, we cannot do the work), we refund everything for work not delivered.
- Roblox fees are not ours to return, so refunds are limited to what we received unless Roblox gives the fee back. We refund in the same way you paid. Once final files are delivered and paid for, the order is complete and not refundable except where the law says otherwise.
- Please talk to us before opening a dispute or chargeback with Roblox or a payment provider. We can almost always fix it faster.
9. Ownership and licence
- When the order is paid in full, you own the final deliverables you commissioned. You can use them in your game, your group and your marketing. Until it is paid in full, we keep all rights.
- We keep our tools, templates, reusable code and techniques, and our working files, unless source files are in your quote. If we reuse something general, it will not contain your confidential material.
- We may show the finished work in our portfolio, on Discord and on social media, unless you ask us not to before delivery. We will not show unreleased details you told us to keep private.
- Work that uses third-party assets (for example Creator Store items, fonts or music) stays subject to those assets' licences. We will tell you when a deliverable depends on one.
10. Your materials
You promise that references, images, audio, models, code, names and anything else you give us are yours, or that you have permission to use them, and that using them as you ask does not break anyone's rights. We are not responsible for claims that come from materials you provide, or from changes you make after delivery. If you give us music or footage for a video, getting the licences for it is your job unless the quote says we handle it.
11. Roblox rules and banned requests
Our work is meant to be used in line with the Roblox Terms of Use and Community Standards. We do not make or help with exploits, cheats, scams, impersonation of people or brands, copies of other creators' games or assets, or anything that is illegal, hateful, sexual or unsafe for children. We may refuse a request or stop an order that breaks these rules, and refund the part of the work not delivered. You are responsible for how you use the work and for keeping your game compliant with Roblox's rules. Roblox may review or remove content at its own discretion, and we do not control that.
12. Confidentiality and account safety
- We keep your unreleased game details, place files and access private, and only share them with the people on our team working on your order.
- We will never ask for your Roblox password, a 2FA code or a recovery code. Do not send them to anyone. If you need to give access, use Team Create, group roles or a place file.
- Only trust staff messages sent from our official Discord server. Anyone offering our services outside it, or asking for payment elsewhere, is not us.
13. Delivery and acceptance
We deliver through Discord, your group or the way stated in the quote. If you do not raise a problem or ask for a revision within [7] days of delivery, the order counts as accepted. We fix bugs in the delivered scope for [14] days after delivery at no extra cost. Problems caused by later changes, by other scripts or by Roblox updates are not included.
14. No guarantees and liability
- We work with care, but we do not promise a particular result, such as player numbers, revenue, rankings, thumbnail click rates, or that Roblox will approve or keep your content.
- We are not responsible for actions taken by Roblox or other platforms against your account, group or game, or for downtime, data loss in Roblox services or bugs that come from them.
- To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or lost profit or lost opportunity.
- Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
15. Your legal rights
If you are a consumer, you may have rights that cannot be removed by a contract, and these terms do not take them away. For example, in the EU and the UK you may have a right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Because we start custom work right after the deposit, you ask us to start immediately and agree that you lose the right to withdraw once the work has been fully delivered. If you withdraw before then, you pay for what we have already done. [Check and adapt this section for your country.]
16. Ending an order or access
We may pause or end an order, and remove you from our Discord, if you break these terms, are abusive to our team, give false information, attempt a fraudulent payment or chargeback, or ask for banned work. If we end an order for those reasons, we keep what covers the work already done. Either of us can end an order by telling the other, with the effect described in section 8.
17. Copyright complaints
If you believe something we made or show infringes your rights, send us the details through our Discord server with what is affected, why, and how to reach you. We will look into it quickly and may remove the content while we do.
18. Changes, law and disputes
We may update these terms. The version published when your quote was accepted applies to that order, and a new version applies to new orders. If a part of these terms is not valid, the rest still applies. These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY OR STATE], and the courts of [CITY OR COUNTRY] will decide disputes, without removing any consumer rights that cannot be waived. Please contact us first. Most problems get fixed in a conversation.
19. Contact
The fastest way to reach us is on our Discord server. [Add a legal or privacy contact address here if you want one.]
Privacy Policy
This explains what personal information we handle when you use this website or order from us, and your choices.
What we collect
- Order details you give us: your name or Discord handle, Roblox username, game name, your brief, references and files, budget, deadline and what we agree in the quote.
- Conversations: messages and files you send us on Discord.
- Payment records: proof of Robux payments and refunds, such as the transaction details Roblox shows us.
- On this website: your theme choice (light or dark) is saved in your browser's local storage, and nothing else is saved. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The order form does not send anything to a server: it builds a brief that you copy and send us yourself. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when the page loads.
How and why we use it
- To give you quotes, do the work and deliver it, and to take payment and handle refunds (to carry out our contract with you).
- To keep records, prevent fraud and defend ourselves in a dispute (our legitimate interests), and to meet accounting and tax duties (legal obligation).
- To show finished work in our portfolio, as described in section 9 of the Terms.
- We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the people on our team working on your order, and the services we depend on: Discord (conversations), Roblox (payments, groups and game files), Google (fonts on this site) and any tools we use to host this site. These services have their own privacy policies. Some are based outside your country, including in the United States. We may also share information when the law requires it or to protect our rights.
How long we keep it
We keep order details and conversations for [NUMBER OF MONTHS OR YEARS] after an order ends, and payment records for as long as accounting or tax law requires. Then we delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete things sooner.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK), you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, take it with you, and withdraw consent that you gave us. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. To use any of these rights, message us on our Discord server. We may need to confirm it is really you first.
Children
Our services are not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you are under 18, please involve a parent or guardian. If you think a child under 13 has sent us personal information, tell us and we will delete it.
Security and your own care
We take reasonable steps to protect what you send us, but no online service is completely secure. Please never send passwords, 2FA codes, payment card numbers or ID documents. We will never ask for them.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date at the top of this page when we do.
